April M. Rimpo

April has been involved in art her whole life. She was first motivated when her 3rd grade teacher displayed her drawings of cartoon characters in class. As she got older she realized her father, grandfather and some aunts also were artists. Many of her fathers jobs were in graphic arts prior to opening is own printing business.

April has worked in pencil drawing, oil painting, stained glass, fused glass and watercolor. In her paintings her goal is to portray the emotions she perceives from people, places and creatures she has had the pleasure to meet or see. She hopes to invoke an emotional response in her audience. Her glass art takes a more abstract approach in which she strives to attract her audience
